Scholarship Opportunities
SI of Helena offers the following local and regional awards and scholarships. Certain scholarships are eligible for awards at the regional or national levels.
Violet Richardson Award: This award is presented to young women between the ages of 14 and 17 who make the world a better place through their volunteer efforts, especially those that benefit women and girls. The award amount will be split equally between the winner and charity of their choice.

Professional Technical Award: Open to any woman who resides in the Northwestern Region of Soroptimist International and is enrolled in a professional or technical certificate program.
- Award amount: $1,000.00

Women's Opportunity Award: Open to any woman with primary financial responsibility for her family; accepted to a vocational program or undergrad degree; have financial need and be motivated to acheive her educational and career goal. Multiple awards may be given totally up to $1,500.00
- Award amount: $1,500.00
- Deadline: December 15

Margaret Chivers Award: Open to graduating high school senior girls from any local high school, and planning on attending an in-state four year college.
- Award amount: $2,400.00 payable over 2 years
- Deadline: May 1

Fellowship Award: Open to women established in business or one of the professions; holds a Bachelor or Masters degree from an accredited institution; plans on post graduate study at an accredited college or university leading to an advanced degree.
- Award amount: $500.00

Soroptimist Ruby Award: Open to women in the community who are improving the lives of women or girls through her professional or personal life.
- Award amount at club level: $100.00 donation to favorite charity
